SCIATICA

Exercise for Sciatica in London

Individualised exercise support for movement, strength and confidence

Jessica Kreimeyer provides individualised exercise support for clients experiencing sciatica or returning to exercise following a period of symptoms.

Her approach is informed by specialist education in sciatica, including “Sciatica: Symptom or Condition?”, alongside wider qualifications in exercise referral, specialist exercise and rehabilitation-informed exercise.

The emphasis is on understanding the individual, adapting exercise appropriately and gradually rebuilding strength, movement and physical confidence.

SCIATICA IS NOT THE SAME FOR EVERYONE

Exercise is adapted around the individual.

Sciatica can affect people in very different ways. Jessica considers current symptoms and movement, exercise history, strength and mobility, physical capacity, confidence with movement, previous problems, current professional guidance and personal goals.

Rather than applying a standard routine, exercise is adapted around the individual and progressed as appropriate.

SPECIALIST EDUCATION IN SCIATICA

Specialist learning that informs individual programming.

Jessica completed Sciatica: Symptom or Condition? in November 2025. This specialist education complements broader experience in exercise referral, low back pain and rehabilitation-informed exercise.

She also holds a VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Exercise for Management of Low Back Pain, providing an additional foundation where lower-back considerations are relevant.

EXERCISE & MOVEMENT

Build strength, movement and confidence gradually.

Depending on the individual, sessions may include:

  • Strength development
  • Mobility and movement
  • Functional exercise
  • Core and general conditioning
  • Building physical capacity
  • Gradual return to exercise
  • Movement confidence
  • Progressive exercise appropriate to the individual

The programme is reviewed and adapted according to progress, response and individual goals.

WHO MAY BENEFIT?

Private support for returning to activity.

Private exercise support may be appropriate for people who are experiencing or returning from sciatica, have reduced activity because of symptoms, want to rebuild strength and fitness, need exercise adapted around existing limitations or prefer individual one-to-one support.

If symptoms are new, severe, changing or require medical assessment, appropriate healthcare advice should be sought before beginning or progressing exercise.

EXERCISE REFERRAL & LOW BACK PAIN EXPERIENCE

Exercise-focused, individualised and within professional scope.

Jessica’s CIMSPA Exercise Referral qualification and current Exercise Referral Associate status complement specialist education in sciatica and lower back pain. Her VTCT Level 4 Certificate provides further specialist education relevant to lower-back and movement considerations.

WORKING ALONGSIDE OTHER PROFESSIONALS

Considered exercise alongside existing guidance.

Some clients may already be working with a physiotherapist, consultant, osteopath, doctor or other healthcare professional. Where appropriate, Jessica can take relevant recommendations into consideration when developing an exercise programme.

Jessica also has a trusted network of London-based professionals where additional support is required outside her area of expertise.
